“[The conflict is likely to] increase or accelerate some of the projects to make sure that they have internal sovereign security for gas without the need to import from anybody else,” he said.

During the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, NESR signed a technology licensing agreement with Saudi Aramco Upstream Technology Company (SAUTC) for the commercialization of Nano-Silica for Water Shutoff, an innovative technology developed by Aramco to address unwanted water production in oil and gas wells.
The technology aims to improve reservoir management, enhance hydrocarbon recovery and extend well productivity.
The agreement marks another step in bringing Saudi innovation to the global energy market, combining Aramco’s technology development expertise with NESR’s regional presence and international reach.
Speaking to Arab News on the sidelines of the 25th WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, our Chairman & CEO Sherif Foda discussed the Kingdom’s potential to develop a domestic lithium industry, strengthen local manufacturing and build more resilient supply chains.
“If you can source all your products, and 70 to 80 percent of it locally, commercially viable, that gives you fantastic resilience. Aramco pioneered that approach almost 10 years ago with their IKTVA program. he said.

Speaking at the WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh, our Chairman & CEO, Sherif Foda, noted: “Our successful pilot with Aramco demonstrated the potential to extract commercially viable lithium from brine. We are now moving into the demonstration phase, targeting production of up to 2,000 tons per year.

NESR has announced $300 million in Kuwait contract awards over five years, spanning production services and drilling & evaluation, including a Master Technology Agreement to advance its Open Technology Platform through the Company’s in-country research hub at the Ahmadi Innovation Valley.
