Bula-Haji Police Station in Jubaland State is now complete and has been officially handed over to the local authority to serve the community. @EU_in_Somalia remains committed to supporting rule of law, justice and public service delivery in Somalia.

Under PROSPERIS Program, a week-long good governance workshop has concluded in Barawe, bringing together local council members & district leaders from Barawe, Wanlaweyn & Afgoye in Southwest. The training strengthens local governance & supports improved public service delivery.

Critical care capacity at Lasanod General Hospital received a major boost today with the inauguration of a newly constructed & equipped ICU unit. Supported by @NorwayInSomalia & @SwissEmbassyKE through PROSPERIS Program, the unit will strengthen delivery of lifesaving healthcare services.

Solar-powered irrigation systems are transforming farming livelihoods across 25 farms in #Dolow as part of PROSPERIS programme, funded by @NorwayInSomalia & @SwissEmbassyKE. The systems are reducing dependence on costly fuel-powered pumps & helping farmers expand cultivation, strengthen climate resilience and contribute to improved food security in #Somalia.

Another critical local governance facility delivered, this time in #Cadale District. The new district administration office will strengthen local governance, improve public service delivery and bring local authorities closer to the communities.

Good to see Abdullahi Isse Stadium thriving as a venue for public engagement, hosting President @HassanSMohamud, state leaders and community members. Co-financed by the community and supported by @NorwayInSomalia and @SwissEmbassyKE through PROSPERIS program, it promotes youth engagement and social cohesion.

The newly constructed #Puntland Electoral Commission (PEC) headquarters has been unveiled by Puntland President @HESaidADeni, marking a key step in strengthening governance and electoral institutions. This critical infrastructure support is part of the @stability_fund-funded Infrastructure Support to Local Governance Program in Somalia.

Lasanod city is lighting up again after the maintenance of 135 solar streetlights originally installed in 2015. With the support from @NorwayinSomalia & @SwissEmbassyKE, the restored lights are improving night-time mobility, supporting local businesses and helping revive public life and social interaction during the night.

In Beledweyne, farming livelihoods remain central to local economy, yet communities continue to face growing pressure from recurrent floods and droughts. With support from @NorwayInSomalia and @SwissEmbassyKE and in partnership with the Somali government, four critical solar-powered irrigation systems are helping more than 17 farmers sustain production, reduce energy costs and strengthen climate resilience. This intervention targets mainly youth and women farmers and demonstrates how practical, climate-smart infrastructure can support agricultural productivity, protect livelihoods and contribute to more sustainable local recovery in flood- and drought-affected communities.

Great to finally witness the inauguration of the new @MoIFARSomalia headquarters by President @HassanSMohamud. Supported by @NorwayInSomalia, @SwissEmbassyKE & @stability_fund, this marks a critical boost to Somalia’s governance as the Ministry returns to its HQ after 3+ decades.

Diinsoor district in Southwest State of Somalia inaugurated a new sports facility constructed under the @EU_in_Somalia-funded SLS Program. The stadium was unveiled by the Interim Leader of SWS & @MOFASomalia Minister @AbdisalamDhaay, and is expected to strengthen social cohesion.
