IGN... That's not what Jun Takeuchi said... He said they had formed a 10-year plan for Resident Evil for the next decade, they had an on-going story in-between titles (both new games & remakes) which THAT STORY would be concluded in the next 10 years, not the whole series.
Resident Evil executive producer Jun Takeuchi has revealed that the series' narrative has a definite conclusion, and that end could come "in the next 10 years." bit.ly/3WAd457

Bruce Prichard is expected to retire from his position as Executive Director - Creative Writing & Talent of WWE after WrestleMania season.  He would remain connected to the company on a consulting basis but would no longer live in Stamford or retain his current duties. One source pegged WrestleMania as the end of the run, but another cautioned that with pro wrestling being the way it is, there could always be additional time after that. - PWInsider

Fun Fact: I wrote a huge LOST PLANET movie for Warner Brothers in 2008, and then the entire financial world crashed, and that was the end of it.
More great short games

This game was wonderful. I missed out on Zelda games as a kid. Played TP first, then OOT and Zelda NES. It could be recency bias, but this one was my favorite. Super curious how I feel about OOT since my first playthru 14 years ago. Remake soon!
I never played Zelda Link to the Past. Tonight, we change that, BLIND RUN on real SNES hardware. Getting prepped for the OOT Remake release. If you want to see the last human on earth who never played LTTP, tune in at 8pm PT twitch.tv/maximilian_dood

Susan Saint James, the Emmy-winning actress who starred opposite Rock Hudson in “McMillan & Wife” and Jane Curtin in the CBS sitcom “Kate & Allie,” died Monday at 80 years old after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Saint James’ family described her as someone “generous with her time and energy, which she valued more than money, and instinctively drawn to whoever needed lifting up. She taught her children to pause, be kind and look out for other people. She never met a stranger. Every person she met became the most important person in the room at that moment, from a fellow board member to the clerk at the shoe store, who usually walked away knowing her entire life story.” (via People) variety.com/2026/tv/news/sus…

This could’ve fit on 2 PS5 Discs Would’ve taken 4 Xbox Series discs. There would need to be some compression made for the install discs to account for that extra 10GBs however

Tonight, in memory of Chiba-sensei, I'm rereading the José Mendoza world title match from “Ashita no Joe,” the manga that defined my youth, and rewatching Episodes 44–47 of “Ashita no Joe 2.”🥊

Rest in Peace Tetsuya Chiba (1939 - 2026) Hirohiko Araki was influenced by his works, with "Ore wa Teppei" convincing him to join the kendo club in middle school. Araki stated that the illustration of Jonathan Joestar's final scene in Phantom Blood was influenced by "Ashita no Joe." In 2014, Araki recommended his autobiographical book, stating "The characters drawn by Chiba-sensei always feel as close as friends who are right by your side."

Liberty City Stories was a generational game for the PSP. The fact that they managed to create a worthy Grand Theft Auto spin-off using the limited power of that handheld was amazing I really hope this, Vice City Stories, and Chinatown Wars make their way on modern platforms
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP was released on this day in North America, 21 years ago (2005)

speaking of wrestlers leaving WWE mid-show: Jeff Jarrett & The Roadie abruptly left mid-way through IYH 2 after Double J lost the IC Title to HBK, with both men declining to do the planned post-match split up. Here's Dok Hendrix furiously ad-libbing to explain their absence.

Atsushi Onita celebrated his 69th birthday by detonating ten times the usual gunpowder and not even a torrential downpour could stop it. At the FMWE event over the weekend, Onita beat The Great Sasuke by blast pinfall. It was their first Current Blast meeting since the No-Rope Barbed-Wire Death Match in September 2003. For the birthday, the rules were stripped back: roughly ten times the normal gunpowder, no countouts outside the ring and fouls permitted. Onita wasted no time. He dragged Sasuke into the crowd, smashed him around the seats and doused him with a bucket of water. Back in the ring, Sasuke hit the switch and struck him with a Current Blast bat, then worked him over with a sleeper hold and a barrage of kicks. Onita answered with a mist spray, set up the barbed-wire board and went for a Thunder Fire Powerbomb, only for Sasuke to reverse it and leave him blasting himself. Sasuke’s Senton Atomico missed and he crashed and burned. Onita then smashed a Current Blast steel chair onto his head to trigger a massive explosion and finished with a bodyslam onto the barbed-wire board. Afterwards, Onita praised his opponent. “You’re tough as nails. Thank you.” Sasuke was just as vivid. “Today, I thought I was going to die. But I’m alive!” The fans watched in rain ponchos, and Onita summed it up. “You’re crazy. But come to think of it, we’re crazy too!” The night ended with the crowd shouting “1, 2, 3, FIRE!” @onitafire123 @the_greatsasuke

He was the last of the major creatives responsible for my favorite anime of all time 🥺 I hope we can someday get the chance to experience more of his works than just Ashita no Joe, he deserves at least that. Rest in peace and thank you sensei 🙏
