@NYCMayor @SpeakerMenin @NYCCouncil Let's talk the torture & inhumane treatment to be in a Pop-up crate for 23 1/4 hrs a day @GovKathyHochul NYCACC is crating dogs which is a direct violation of Article 26-C Companion Animal Care, what are you doing to correct this behavior? Everyday we see good dogs go from being Adoptable to Rescue Only & Kill Listed because they live in a busy hallway, crammed in a pop-up crate. NYCACC states their reluctance to be stuffed in their cage after a walk, being aroused from lack of exercise & enrichment. Putting on their records "has not acclimated to care center environment" But let;s be clear. This is NOT the fault of a dog. This is the fault of @NYCHealthCommr & #RisaWeinstock who are incapable of competently running a humane animal shelter system.
