Tradition never goes out of style. This season, we’re proud to welcome back a piece of @TarkAthDept football tradition—the return of the gold. While the look may be new, what it represents remains the same: pride, hard work, and the honor of wearing “TARKINGTON” across your chest. To every Longhorn who came before and every player who will wear these colors this fall—this one’s for you. Here’s to honoring our past while building our future. The gold is back. 🤘 #OneHerdOneHeart #TarkingtonFootball #HornsUp #tarkingtonisd #tarkingtonathletics #1H1H #FN5GL #entry

@TarkAthDept is proud to welcome Coach Kyle Sperling as our new Defensive Coordinator. @CoachSperling brings nearly a decade of coaching experience at the high school level, serving as an Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Offensive Line Coach across programs in Tennessee and Kentucky. His background includes building disciplined, physical football teams and developing student-athletes into leaders on and off the field. A United States Army veteran with multiple combat deployments, Coach Sperling’s leadership style is built on accountability, toughness, and servant leadership. We are excited for the energy, experience, and commitment he will bring to the Longhorn football program. Welcome to The HERD, Coach Sperling! #OneHerdOneHeart #tarkingtonisd #tarkingtonathletics #1H1H #FN5GL #entry

Extremely proud of our @TarkAthDept Bigs today at the Warzone Lineman Challenge! Out of 22 teams, our guys finished 6th overall, competing against some of the best competition around. What makes that even more impressive is that we were one of only two 3A schools in attendance, with the rest of the field made up of 5A and 6A programs. Our boys competed with tremendous effort, toughness, and heart from start to finish. They never backed down, embraced every challenge, and represented Tarkington the right way. Beyond the results, they had a blast competing together and growing as a team. What stood out most was the respect they earned. Multiple coaches from other schools went out of their way to compliment our players on their work ethic, attitude, and competitiveness. That says a lot about the young men in our program. I am truly in awe of this group. They fought for every point, supported one another, and showed exactly what it means to be a Longhorn. The future is bright. 🤘 #OneHerdOneHeart #TarkingtonFootball #BigsDoingBigThings #tarkingtonisd #tarkingtonathletics #1H1H #FN5GL #entry

Please join us in welcoming Coach Elam to the @TarkAthDept family! A former Division I offensive lineman, Coach Elam brings valuable experience, a passion for developing young men, and a strong commitment to building relationships with his players. He has spent the past two years coaching and teaching at the high school level, working primarily with offensive linemen. We are excited for the impact Coach Elam will have on our program, school, and community. Welcome to the Herd, Coach! #OneHerdOneHeart 🤘
