A gross lack of humility is not a good human trait and often results in life/karma handing out some hard lessons learned.
This platform is certainly showcasing the arrogant among us, the ones proudly announcing their stockpiles while thinking they're oh-so-much-smarter and above everyone else.
JFC, the "preppers" are in full lecture mode on YouTube. It's not enough that they're smug and act like they will NEVER be impacted by any kind of catastrophe (I think a superintelligence will beg to differ with them) now they're shaming people for living in cities. Insufferable.
I got fed up with panic-inciting posts here, thought I'd pop in to YouTube and watch a few uplifting videos before turning off my pc ... but holy cow, some are freaking out on YT, full panic mode, saying get your supplies! this is serious! we're on our own! ...
🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Every account on this platform warning people to get out NOW and stockpile 30-90 days of food, water, supplies, generator, etc. should be suspended from this platform.
It is grossly irresponsible to incite and panic the public.
Stop it!

COPE:
If a massive AI disaster occurs, it won't kill *everyone.*
STRAIGHT DOPE:
Nate Soares: "It's actually pretty hard to get an AI disaster scenario where it kills only half the people."
Hoog: So you think it will be 100%?
@so8res: Probably yeah, that's sort of the default.
Still trying to figure out what's going on with this ... first, he signs an EO declaring that the government will only use the terms SI or Super Intelligence ... now this post.
WHAT is the agenda here?
And FYI: Artificial intelligence and superintelligence are NOT the same.
It is mind-boggling that this buffoon is a billionaire.
Why anyone pays attention to him is puzzling.
Mark Cuban says AI isn't smart, and he'd trust a seeing-eye dog over it to get across the street
"AI is not smart. It just knows how to use statistics basically to predict the next word. It’s predictive. It’s not deterministic. If you asked 4 different AIs the same question, you’re going to get 4 different answers"
"AI doesn’t know the consequences of its actions. AI doesn’t have inherent ethics"
"If I’m standing at a 4-way intersection and there’s cars going back and forth, and I have video in my phone and the best models ever, and I have a seeing-eye dog right here, I’m letting the seeing-eye dog take me across the street before I let the AI take me across the street. It’s always going to be behind"
"A 2-year-old sitting on a high chair with a sippy cup knows that if it pushes the sippy cup off the high chair, Mom’s going to come running, and it knows it’s going to crack up. AI is not going to figure that out ever"
Because idiot @TomCotton hates Trump.
The only people support this are whining, entitled parents who don't care enough about their own kids to actually take them to school and expect an entire nation to accommodate THEIR choice to make them wait outside in the dark for the bus.
From POTUS Executive Order: ... the executive branch shall use the terms “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in place of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” ...
Why was this even deemed necessary? Some kind of mind game?
It's a misnomer because SI isn't here yet ... that we know of.
I'll reiterate what others have said ... if an ant is occupying the land on which humans want to build a road ... too bad for the ants.
Imo, that's what will happen when a superintelligence comes into being. I don't think it will eliminate humans out of malice, but out of need.
I do not hate AI.
I use AI.
I'm just trying to inform people about AI and what I believe is happening and going to happen in the not-too-distant future.
So ... I post some very informative stuff on this platform, from the scamdemic to the New World Order and digital panopticon to a lot of info about AI ... and usually get a few dozen to a few hundred views.
But my 8-word post about Altman ... almost 39K views.
🤦♀️🤨🤔
It's coming from all directions.
Keep your sanity as best you can.
