can’t have a conversation about drugs w/o acknowledging that alcohol is, not only a drug, but the deadliest one. alcohol — by itself — accounts for 178k deaths per year in the US, 2.6 million globally. comparatively, all illicit drugs combined account for just over 100k in the US, & 600k globally. feel how you want about illicit drugs, do them or don’t do them, but be equitable in your judgement.
