Dolly Parton’s nephew is asking for more time to lawyer up in his fight with her longtime manager and trust adviser, Danny Nozell
Bryan Seaver is accused of interfering with the trust’s business relationships through “threats, intimidation, and coercion"
Seaver says his preferred lawyer can’t meet until Monday, and he’s fine with a restraining order staying in place until a delayed hearing
The court had asked him to respond by today, ahead of an Oct. 9 hearing

Tonight, I signed an executive order appointing Attorney General Letitia James as special prosecutor in the Cornell sexual assault case.
New information has raised serious questions about how this case was handled, and I’ve lost faith in the Tompkins County DA’s ability to fairly oversee it.
The young woman at the center of this case deserves to know that every fact will be examined and justice pursued.
Lil Durk's follow-up racketeering murder trial was never gonna start next week. That was a placeholder date
Prosecutors and defense filed a stipulation today agreeing to move the 10/5/2026 trial date to 08/30/2027
Judge Fitzgerald just signed it

For the past two years, I’ve been working on a book about Sean Combs. It comes out today.
I grew up in the Diddy era. I never necessarily considered myself a Sean Combs fan but “Shake Ya Tailfeather” and “Bump, Bump, Bump” played on repeat on my iPod; Making the Band helped shaped my current dependency on reality TV; I used my tip money from hosting at Bangkok Gardens in college to splurge on Ciroc vodka because it seemed cool; a photo of him lazily sprawling on a hotel bed talking on the phone in a bathrobe was my Twitter header; an ad for his 2023 album was spray-painted on my sidewalk in Brooklyn.
When Cassie made her seismic allegations, it forced me to reckon with the man whose influence had quietly been a presence throughout my life. I couldn’t shake the idea: who is Sean Combs?
This book, speaking with more than a hundred people who knew him, worked for him and entered his orbit over the past three decades, aims to answer that question. It asks you to hold two truths at once: the cultural weight of what Combs has built and the harm hidden beneath it. I hope you’ll read.

“We’re feeling great, outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat, overly nervous — over, over,” Lil Durk’s father, Dontay Banks Sr., told Rolling Stone as he smiled broadly outside the courtroom.
“I’m glad the truth came out. I’m glad 12 people who have nothing to do with anyone saw the truth — that he had nothing to do with this. So that was a great thing.”
Banks Sr., who attended each day of the trial, said his joy over the verdict was tempered by the loss of life at the center of the case.
“We feel for the family who lost a son. I’ve lost a son, so I know what she’s going through. It’s very hard,” he said. “We do sympathize with her. That’s the thing we all want the world to know.”

“Coat of Many Colors” was the song she called her favorite, about a mama who sews a coat out of rags. She wrote it on Porter Wagoner’s tour bus, scrawling it on the only paper available, the boss’ dry-cleaning receipt. (Wagoner had the receipt framed.) rollingstone.com/music/music…
