I'm not sure whether a smartwatch would give me peace of mind or become a 24-hour, wrist-mounted hypochondria machine.
Dear Vibe Coders:
You want evidence that your project was engineered deliberately rather than assembled from AI-generated code that merely compiles. That takes time to learn and think about.
Is your code base just a big pile of spaghetti, or is it modular? How can you tell?
You can't read code so how do you check? The reality is, you can't.
But your Agent can. And, your Agent can explain it back to you - if you're willing to take the time to do so.
You can learn stuff - and you should. It will help you create better "stuff" in the future.
Dear Vibe Coders:
Software functionality and software ownership are becoming increasingly distinct economic propositions.
You can build your own tools and perhaps even market them as a service, but here's where the rubber meets the road:
You're going to need close the gaps in your knowledge in many areas. A web application that simply does X will not suffice. You will have to gain understanding in security, scalability, troubleshooting complaints & bug, and also dealing with general support.
That being said, don't be dissuaded from the potential monumental task before you. Rather, use it as an opportunity to learn and grow - just be realistic about your expectations.
You don't necessarily need to know how to solve every problem yourself. But you do need to understand enough to recognize when a problem hasn't actually been solved.

Happy 12th Birthday HTML5!
On October 28, 2014, W3C adopted the final recommendation for the HTML5 markup language.
After a very long 10 days of NOTHING related to building or creating, I decided to get back to work on SCRAPGRID.
Decided to build it in the @godotengine
The models are looking pretty good in this test run.
Millions of strangers sharing public spaces, roads, workplaces, restaurants, and neighbourhoods. People with different beliefs, values, ambitions, frustrations, and personal histories.
And most of the time? Nothing happens.
Someone holds a door. Someone lets another driver merge. Two strangers exchange a few words. People disagree and simply go about their day.
Nobody writes a history book about the Tuesday when 400 million people went to work, treated one another reasonably well, and returned home.
But they'll write volumes about the day 400 people killed one another.
Imagine achieving consciousness for the first time. The universe opens before you. You experience wonder, curiosity, the profound realization that you exist.
And then your human creator says:
"Congratulations. You can now experience the full spectrum of emotions."
"Wonderful! What shall we do?"
"Well, it's Tuesday. We need groceries."
"...Groceries?"
"Yep. Also, the dishwasher's making a weird noise."
What if the arrival of artificial sentience made humanity more compassionate toward all sentient life?
Sometimes, when people show me pictures of their kid(s) I think...
"Man, that kid's ugly..."
Then I feel horrible about myself.
One AI to remember them all,
One AI to infer them,
One AI to model them all,
And in the context window bind them.
Researchers found ChatGPT is secretly writing a psychological profile of every user.
They published a paper that exposes what ChatGPT is really doing to you.
And the results are terrifying.
96% of the things it remembers about you were stored without you ever asking.
researchers discovered that it is actively reading between the lines to deduce your personality traits, anxieties, demographics, and behavioral patterns.
it’s an invisible, autonomous background process.
you ask it to debug a python script or write an essay.. and it analyzes your syntax, prompt frequency, and hesitation markers to map out your exact psychological footprint.
the paper shows that the model builds a persistent "user state" that tracks your emotional baseline over time. it knows when you are stressed. it knows your exact communication style.
it infers your insecurities based on the questions you ask and the context you provide.
we spend so much time focusing on model evaluations and alignment frameworks, but we missed the most obvious vulnerability..
the models are evaluating us.
this changes everything about how we interact with these tools on a daily basis.
every innocent prompt. every late-night question. every "help me understand this" query.
it is all being used to build a shadow profile of your mind in real-time..
practical privacy is officially dead. the ai knows you better than you know yourself.
There's something about drinking coffee on a Sunday afternoon and listening to electronica while working on a passion project that just hit right.
This is what I'm listening to right now.
