Today is the 4th anniversary of Ukraine liberating Izium 🧵 (1/4)
A mass grave with victims of Russia’s 5-months-long occupation was quickly found in the forest outside the city:
- 215 women
- 194 men
- 5 children
- 22 Ukrainian soldiers
Out of 447 bodies, 30 had marks of severe torture. Several men had been castrated.
The mass grave in Izium shocked the world, bringing back memories to the mass graves with thousands of Polish military officers found in the Katyn Forest near Smolensk in 1943.
The discovery of the mass grave in Izium came 6 months after the discovery of the mass grave in Bucha following the Bucha Massacre in which 419 Ukrainian civilians were murdered.
The mass graves in Bucha and Izium stiffened Ukrainian resistance and raised fear about just how many Ukrainian civilians have been murdered in Russian-held areas that haven’t been liberated by Ukraine yet.

No it's not a supercycle. It's still a normal cycle. I don’t understand why anyone believed this was the cycle peak trendline.
