This morning we run for people living with dementia.
We run for their devoted carers.
And we run for a hopeful future for those impacted by dementia.
It’s why we want to deliver a specialised education and wellbeing program.
So we can better support South Australians caring for their loved ones.

A re-elected Malinauskas Labor Government will abolish public school fees.
Really proud to be with the Premier in Grange today to announce that we will remove the Materials and Services charge families pay.
We know the cost of public school hits families hard.
Across a child’s schooling families pay an average of $8,000 on school fees.
That’s a big cost - and we will wipe it from next year.
This is the next step in delivering an accessible, high quality education for every South Australian.

Congratulations to Adelaide’s Katherine Bennell-Pegg, who has just been named Australian of the Year!
This marks the fourth time a South Australian has received this honour in the past eight years - a remarkable reflection of the talent coming from our state.
An Adelaide local, Katherine made history last year as the first ever person to qualify as an astronaut under the Australian flag, after completing the European Space Agency’s highly competitive astronaut program.
She has since returned home to Australia, where she now serves as Director of Space Technology at the Australian Space Agency — helping lead the future of Australia’s space sector right from South Australia.
Beyond her achievements, Katherine is passionate about inspiring the next generation - especially women and girls pursuing careers in STEM.
As she says, “Curiosity and potential have no postcode and no gender - talent is everywhere, and aspiration can be too, if we foster that confidence.”
An extraordinary achievement and a wonderful role model for young South Australians.
Congratulations Katherine Bennell-Pegg - you’ve made South Australia very proud!

This evening I have spoken to the South Australian Jewish community leadership to reassure them that they are not alone. I know the incident at Bondi Beach today has caused real distress, and I want the Jewish community to know that they have the State Government’s unwavering support.
The fact that the attack targeted the Jewish community on the first day of Hanukkah is particularly distressing. No one should ever lose their life, feel unsafe or targeted because of who they are or what they believe, especially during a time meant for faith, reflection and celebration.
The State Government stands with our Jewish community and we will do all we can to ensure they feel safe, supported and protected.

Well that was quite something.
That Josh Teague interview on @1395FIVEAA was probably up there with John Hewson’s GST Cake interview.
What a shambles!

The SA Liberal should encourage Josh Teague to do a lot more radio interviews. Preferably daily.

Our Inclusion Education Bill has passed the parliament ✅
It delivers on key recommendations of the Disability Royal Commission to stamp out the unacceptable barriers many students with disability face - particularly around denying students access to the school of their choice and the inappropriate use of exclusionary discipline. @NatCookMP
