The 🇮🇱 flag was included in the London Eye New Year’s display. The Star of David wasn’t removed. The flags were small, animated and part of a sequence forming the Union Flag. Visibility issues affected several blue & white flags, not Israel alone. No evidence this was antisemitic

🚨 JD Vance is now claiming that when settlers arrived in the New World, they “found widespread child sacrifice” and that “Christian civilization ended the practice.”
Archaeologists and historians, including experts in North American Indigenous history, say this is a complete fabrication. There is zero evidence of widespread child sacrifice among First Nations.
This isn’t a slip.
It’s racist revisionism dressed up as patriotism.
And it tells you exactly how far they’ll go to rewrite history to justify oppression.

We are calling for all taxpayer-funded support for Boris Johnson, as a former PM, to be withdrawn.
Bereaved families should not be expected to subsidise the lifestyle of the man whose decisions led to the deaths of our loved ones.

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has found that the response of the UK government was a repeated case of ‘too little, too late'. Thousands died unnecessarily because of their inability to do the job they'd been entrusted to do.

You know those national appeals that have gone out in the past in aid of war victims? Is there a national appeal on behalf of the people described here (below), returning to their destroyed homes?
🚨HORRIBLE: According to the UN, nearly half a million Palestinians have returned to northern Gaza since the October 10 ceasefire ,only to find their homes turned to rubble.
Families now struggle to survive amid severe shortages of food, clean water, and shelter, surrounded by unexploded bombs.
Over 68,500 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

This is today — the Israeli army continues turning Palestinian homes to rubble during what’s supposed to be a “ceasefire.”
It’s deliberate destruction and collective punishment.

The Global Sumud Flotilla is still sailing, despite having been approached twice by unidentified vessels - believed to be Israeli navy - in the night.
Updates:
- It is now approaching 110 nautical miles of Gaza, close the point at which the Madleen was intercepted in June. (The Handala got closer than this, in July).
- Some participants have been able to get a little bit of sleep - which is good, as depriving them of this could be an Israeli tactic.
- The flotilla is currently 41 boats sailing together, with one more attempting to catch up (but some way behind).
- One boat diverged off course in the night, and has now been removed from the tracker, suggesting it has left the mission.
- Two observer boats, Shireen and Summertime, have hung back to avoid interception.
- Life Support, the Italian NGO boat, said yesterday that it would also stop at an agreed point, as its mission is to observe and support the flotilla, but not to go all the way. Marine tracking data suggests it stopped yesterday.
- The Italian naval frigate is believed to have left.
- Spanish media has reported that Spain’s boat may be keeping a distance from the flotilla, but remains nearby. It will reportedly continue to 24 miles from the coast of Gaza, where territorial waters begin.
- The location of Turkey's frigate is unknown.
