A set of 2 EM-Entertainment Mario plushies released in Germany in 1992. The plushies copied the patterns of the Sun Arrow Mario plushies who copied the patterns of the Avanti Mario plushies, making these copies of copies.

It is currently unknown how many characters exist in the 2002 Nintendo Play by Play keychain plush set. Only a Yoshi was previously discovered, but it turns out there is also this Donkey Kong. We are still unsure if all 8 characters from the regular set exist in keychain form.

Super Mario World Drummer Mario plush released by Iwaya Corp in 1992. The plush rotates its body and bobs up and down while banging a Super Mario World themed drum. No Mario music is playing because the company used the same mechanics for other drummer plushies.

Super Mario World strap plushies released by Bandai in 1993, featuring the first ever Fire Mario plush. These plushies are extremely fragile, so not many have held up over the years.

A mysterious 1999 Sonic Adventure 1 Chao plush. No information is currently known about its release, but it is likely Japanese and could be an internal plush. The tush tag translates to something along the lines of "This is a commercial product made in Tokyo. TM &© 1999 SEGA."

Because of the other plushies in the Mario RPG set, the power-ups are often underappreciated. The Mario RPG Mushroom plush is particularly nice, as it fits in perfectly with the rest of the set.

Brawl in the Family, or BitF, is a webcomic that is known for its funny storytelling using a variety of Smash Bros characters. In the comic, Dededoll is a dedede plush given to King Dedede by Kirby. A real version that's wanted by many fans sold out on the BitF store years ago.

Many people are familiar with the Dakin Sonic & Knuckles plush, but there is also a much more obscure Tec Toy Sonic & Knuckles plush. Similar to its Dakin counterpart, the plush is rocking a t-shirt featuring the logo from the game. Not much is known about its release.
When Jakks originally designed their World of Nintendo Bowser Jr, they intended for it to have the Mario Sunshine bib, as seen in stock photos. This idea was rejected by Nintendo and the figure was revised. A comparison between the prototype and final release is shown below.

Although the Battle Racers figure is the only painted figure of Omega, there is also this bootleg Sonic X keshi figure that was likely made in the mid 2000s. The set contains 11 other characters and was released in blind bags that have a variety of art from the era.

While Tec Toy is famous for distributing SEGA consoles in Brazil, they also released merchandise such as these Sonic plushies. They came in 4 different sizes, with the one I own being the largest one, standing at around 4 feet tall. Later releases like mine have eye shine.

Back in the 90s, many companies tried to profit off of the Pokémon hype train by creating unlicensed plushies. These vintage bootlegs are called "Mirage" because no one knows who manufactured them. A great example is this drumming Pikachu plush that sings "Yankee Doodle."

My new favorite item is this 1998/1999 Toy Biz Diddy Kong prototype dancing plush figure. He dances along to "La Bamba" and wiggles his head while he walks forward. This is a one of a kind piece that was most likely displayed at Toy Fair.
