Now's a good time a time as any... thanks to everyone who recommended me and the folks who ultimately pushed it through: I've been invited to NoPixel V. Couldn't come at a better time with my recent layoff. I'll be live at twitch.tv/nathankb_ when I get through queue. o7. <3.
So funny that prediction market ads focus on the person learning about their product always responds with something like “I can trade on the playoffs?!” In reality the convo would always be “so I can bet on sports there?! Why is it called a market?”

Never been a fan of ping limiters. Just forcing other regions to take the heat and not really solving the issue. One of the things I loved most about WARDOGS is the fact I play with friends from all over. Most of these guys bitching about ping will just bitch about somethin else.
Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢
Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating.
It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority.
Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect.
We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions.

Well my team just got organizationally restructured. Corporate mud truly rolling downhill. While I'm on severance I'll be open to any opportunities in the world of Project or Contract Management. If you're a mutual or creator who needs document review I have a lot of time.
Epic touting their platform's launch time performance as a value proposition over Steam is incredibly out of touch. Steam could take 5 minutes to load and we'd still use it over Epic. Absurd waste of time and salary dollars to whatever marketing team thought this was a good idea.

Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco looked up Madison Beer while discussing Justin Herbert’s POOR performances this season, leading to the Chargers being 0-5, and instantly understood why he might be DISTRACTED 😭💀
“Let me see what she looks like… OH SH-T. I don’t put too much cream in my coffee, but I get it.” 😭😭

Rust Isles was sick. Thanks to @BaboAbe @RustoriaServers and our Craptain/First Deuce @GeneralGEEGA @blooprintgames and the whole DooDoo Crew. TYPE SHIT.
There's no way we're trotting out Newt Gingrich. We cannot be serious. For the zoomers, Newt was the speaker of the house in the late 90s and was born in the early 40's. Yes, you read that correctly. The 40's. Specifically, 1943, which makes him 83 years old. Wtf are we doing.
I appreciate everyone's feedback. I'm looking for closure, not validation. Communication should be open. Also, I can accept that false narratives re: 4.0 (Council, DOJ, etc.) won't stop. Frustrating. Not my place to correct. These things are never simple. Don't be fooled. <3
In NP3.0 I was invited to recommend people for prio while having 0 prio myself until I finally spoke up and we all had a laugh. I hope lack of invite to 5.0 isn't the same. Lack of info/closure is really rough. Clarity would be great but I don't even know who or how to ask. Oof.
live on twitch for rust isles twitch.tv/nathankb_
Without delving into the political machinations or biases behind the issue, this circumstance of media outlets having their access credentials revoked from the WH is a great example of why legal discourse is often completely misunderstood when popularized. Issues are narrow. (1)
The legal question was much more narrow than the political topic and discourse. However, due to the way we consume information now, even on important topics, that nuance is completely lost. People arguing this issue are literally missing the point. Sad but sadly very common. (3)
