Absolutely agree @AnnamariaBevan We see children connect deeply with each other, their teachers and with nature on our residentials @farmersforaweek Outdoor learning supports character education, mental health and well-being. It should be a right of every child @NaturePremium1

We have found that by making beach school and forest school part of our core curriculum offer, wellbeing and relationships are strengthening. Children are growing in confidence week by week and there is a real joy for learning not just during these activities but onsite too 💚

Glorious to read! We want this for ALL children. Some schools are already doing it so brilliantly. It can be done, but we are working on the barriers. Funding would be a big one.

Each year I evaluate my provision with schools, parents/carers. It definitely helps me reflect & shape my practice. This not only makes my heart sing but also makes me a little sad. Why oh why isn’t outdoor learning statutory for all chn. @NaturePremium1
