‘Sweden begins wolf hunt as it aims to halve endangered animal’s population’ [to a pitiful 170 individuals]
Imagine if the outcry if this were Sri Lanka killing leopards, or Botswana lions, both much trickier animals to live with.
Shame, shame on Sweden. theguardian.com/environment/…

We haven’t lost *half of our hedgerows* since the 1940s, we’ve lost pretty much all. With the odd exception, the ‘hedgerows’ that remain are machine-flailed to lifelessness, leaving them useless for wildlife. No width or depth, no cover, no spring blossom, no berries, nada.

I'm phasing out use of X, it has become an awful place. Now regularly posting on Blu*sky, consider joining me, seems like a much nicer vibe.

Incredible day yesterday in Donegal Bay! 2/3 Humpbacks, fin whales and huge numbers of minke and common Dolphins! Massive number of birds, in particular great sheatwaters! All feeding on sprat! All visible from land as well! @IWDGnews @FairSeasIreland

Donald Trump is a billionaire.
He doesn’t believe we should raise the $7.25 minimum wage to a living wage.

With exceptional numbers of Great Shearwaters in the Hebrides, it was good to get my closest ever views of 8+ Greats, 40+ Sooties, but just 2 Manx with @Nature_Scotland on the Sea Life Mull boat this morning, along with some nice late season cetacean activity.

Out of curiosity, where were you all thinking of moving after you're done destroying the Earth? Because I assume you've thought that through.

Study shows #neonicotinoids are harmful to birds on all fronts...
And in their General Election manifesto, @UKLabour
promised to ban them permanently once and for all.
That ban can't come soon enough...

Castlebay to Oban ferry. A promising start but only 5 Great Shearwater. 150 Sooties. 2 Manx. 2 Arctic Skua. Leachs. Hopefully the inbound crossing will be better this afternoon 🤞🏻

Oban to Castlebay. One of the most amazing days I have had. Incredible sight of a raft of 500+ Great Shearwater off Coll and another 100+ later. 300 Sooty and 1 Manx. Shaky video and photos due to a very rough return crossing.
