Hi, as I have more and more Chinese subscribers come to my Twitter X page, I would like my Chinese subscribers interact me by treating Twitter X as an International platform instead of a Chinese platform. The environment I like to have are as follows: 大家好,由于我目前有了越来越多中国订阅者,我希望我的中国订阅者们能够将X视为一个国际社交媒体平台而不是一个中文平台。我希望构建这样的文化: 1st. Twitter X is an age controlled platform that is naturally allowing more contents than age-free platform (all Chinese platform). Therefore please don't use cabian or female-unfriendly phrases to comment under my post. We Europeans dress in a way by nature more open than Chinese community that is more conservative. It is very weird in an International platform of me to be treated excessively too body revealing by comments. I will comply to western ästhetischen standard here so you are welcomed for taking it easy. 1. 2. I would very much encourage comments to be given in English or German, because too many Chinese comments indeed will make my non-Chinese subscribers unwilling to interact. My primary goal is more about bridging the western users and Chinese users, not exclusive to one group. Twitter X is indeed an English-based platform. 2. 3. I will not allow any words belittling women, hateful and country-offensive. I have friends and families in Germany, China, US, Japan and Brazil, and I don't want my friends or family from above countries see Im grouped with people who hate or ill comments towards their communities. 3. 4. If you like my contents and consider such content is helpful to make people happy and more mutual understanding, you are most welcome to give me a like and sharing it. Very often a smilely is already making me overjoyed! But I easily see people arguing under my posts about politics and I hate it so badly. I don't want to be part of it and it discourages neutral people to subscribe me. 4. Thank you with love

In this social media platform, I'm a deep culture translator and an entertainment industry influencer. I randomly makes comments on matters where west and Chinese narratives conflict upon certain political and social matters, based on my years of experience as an influencer in China. With such experience, I expect to reduce unnecessary frictions among international netizens, and develop empathies mutually. I try my best to provide explanations/context that both sides feel comfortable to communicate under. I dont want to engage into any sort of "loyalty check", and refuse emotional human dignity attack. I believe many people will affirm that, restrained, reason-based polite communication is the most powerful language to reach broad audience that causes impacts. – at Republic of Korea

You are exactly the representative individuals to mess up Europe: don't know right or wrong. Mbappe signed many sponsor contracts in China and so does his club. All entities in China demands terms of NO OFFEND to Chinese public feelings. Mbappe broke it spontaneously, because Mao, to you might be a bad guy, but to majority of Chinese and especially the ruling party CPC, is a faith. And Chinese responded with cancelling him. Mbappe and his club now merely attempt to mitigate the harm by issuing an apology. If your testicle is grabbed by another powerful guy you are far worse. – at Republic of Korea

Let me tell you that for any international public figure who has business and public connection with China, three Chinese political figures are untouchable. 1st, Mao Zedong. We Europeans are all told by many political narratives particularly left from cold war time, Mao is a "dictator that murdered millions of people" . Such narrative only looked Mao's mistakes in his decision-making in his later period (he exercised those bad decision however often due to his illusion that CPC members as whole do not treat people well anymore thus he mistakenly call people to rebel, which ended into total anarchy and loss in every dimension). However, heavily neglecting his enormous positive contributions to mankind especially to the Chinese. He is the real key person that prevent Chinese nation from falling into abyss with outstand private virtue. To most Chinese, respecting chairman Mao is not a choice but a faith passed through generations. 2nd, Xi. The taboo of offending Xi is much from the political institutional reasons. The operating of Chinese society, unlike the west, requires the leadership dignity to maintain respected, as important signals for the functionality of the whole party and its ruling in China. Belittling and mocking Chinese leaders, signaling a challenge against this governing legitimacy thus receives painful penalty. Definitely many west-valued people dont understand it and even dispose it. But if anyone wants to have positive connections with China this is something worth very serious learning. 3rd. Sun-yet Sen. Sun is another China-savor character whom even Mao Zedong needs to pay respects to. He stood up in China's most dangerous time to launch revolution, building the republic and offering the modern civilization to the Chinese. He was well-known as the founding father of modern China and dedicated his whole life into liberation of Chinese people. For Chinese, he is another faith symbol that shall not be insulted – at Republic of Korea

I'm a Chinese learner but not affiliated with Confucius Institute. CI is mainly teaching language and meanwhile it must alien to the Chinese political and cultural norms, as a Chinese-funded institution. When learning language and culture knowledge, you by all means will learn its values and political norms, what I take from those learning is how it attempts to justify China's development roadmap, it is rather defensive. Claiming it is national security threat goes too much – at Hong Kong
The War Department has designated Confucius Institutes as a threat to our national security.

Criticize pan-turkism, all hate towards you will become support. When this social media firestorm is over, discuss the good stories between both countries and let ppl see Turkey in a less emotional way, not now. Individual will be cornered to state her/his position in such conflict, inevitable. I think some mistakes already are already made. Calm down.

Being proud of own country's history and cultural legacy is not a problem. But if a certain group of people keep bragging how powerful their ancestors were, while in the mean time their current situation is nearly nothing excellent to be highlighted, such display earns nothing but disgrace because the outsiders only see how the terribly the great empire's decentents messed up every heritage left to them. Such national public image projection in international stage always relies on some national capacity foundation. If not strong enough, laying low is strategically more smart.

Such post with so many likes demonstrate a quite worrisome offensive nationalism tendency among Turkish community. Nationalists took deep pride and honor of their identity, culture and country power (now and in history) But it has two types, one is called defensive nationalism, overlapped with anti-colonial historical course and can be justified if used to defend the country dignity, national solidarity and state sovereignty. The other is the one we see here: named offensive nationalism. In Europe, this kind of nationalism is trash. It has an invasive nature to belittle other nations, undermine other countries stability, causing hate. This post admire a history course that looting and slaughtering another civilisation is an ethnic groups honor (even being pointed out imaginary) . It calls into the worse type of offensive nationalism. If the British nationalists take a pride of British Empire for colonising the rest of world, if the French nationalists admire their history of occupation in Africa, if the Spanish nationalists brag about how they committed genocide in Latin American indigenous people (those are all their most powerful age of empire), what an inhuman and dark abomination image it presented to the world. Some nationalists need to consider carefully, if you want to justify your patriotism, it needs to be defensive, self-restrained and morally non-harmful to others. Otherwise, it slowly involves into early phase of neonazi and fascism. We knew this development very well and it pains Germans to recall it. Reaffirm the facts: the ancient Chinese built the great wall since 475 BC and they kept building and augmenting it over the history. It has nothing to do with a nation state called Turkey. – at Republic of Korea

I finally found the source of this strange Chinese-Turkish internet skirmish. I'm German here. I train myself horse riding in China and know not only Uyghurs but also Kazakh, Kirghis and Turkmen as friends. Those central Asian ethnicity groups all identify themselves as citizens of their sovereign states. I have not met a single Uyghur who does not consider himself or herself Chinese. It is actually quite interesting for Turkey: Germany has very large Turkish immigration population, and Turkish government has been very long accused by German authority of promoting Turkish nationalism in Germany, e. g. "funding religious groups, spreading anti-democracy disinformation in Germany" and so. I for long thought it is some false accusation made from German political circle individuals. But seeing how some Turkish community always encourage the minorities living in one countries to "leave" that country: This is very dangerous, and now I believe the accusations made by German authority is likely true. This is very inappropriate, and it crosses the line by both European and Chinese standards. – at Republic of Korea

Seeing from comments, I feel lots of people don't understand the psychological impact, when you are a customer, but are given a drink unfilled properly. For many people, this is offensive. When a guest comes from a foreign land, he doesn't have the obligation to spontaneously accept this manner because he paid to get happiness and service! Customers happiness is top priority because a restaurant is a making a business deal here first. Try find some way to relief the complaint is some basic professionalism, even if there is a culture conflicts, explain it humbly with empathy, otherwise the customer won't come back again. Understand what is your job and what is your gain/loss. Lecturering guests is suicidal. – at Republic of Korea
