Place-making requires great local engagement and locally elected councillors are crucial to this. We were delighted to meet with Councillor Lee Marsham @LeeMarsham to talk about all things Nechells. Watch out next week for our film and our #PlacemakingConversation with Lee.

Another organisation in Brum I was blown away at is @NechellsPOD because it is meeting the needs of so many different groups of people, and to hold events that attract 800 people is no easy feat. These pics are from our #LocalWeek when I was invited to the Great Get Together. 🍰
ALT Picnic tables are laid out under a marquee-type roof on the grass. There are 15 attendees of all ethnicities and ages eating sandwiches and cakes together. Reporter Vicky Gayle is sat round a table too.
ALT Three women - one who is East Asian, and two who are black African - stand next to one another holding a large red and white chequered photo frame that says 'We've got more in common' at the top. They're squeezed together and smiling. They were all at the event.
