My first books are here!
I wanted to share this moment with my kids, so I waited for my boys to get home from school before opening the first box!
Bucket list moment for sure!

Positive Politics gets us out of this trap by focusing on getting positive-sum work done in government!
The zero-sum trap: the more people believe that wealth, status, and well-being are zero-sum, the more they back policies that make the world zero-sum.

All of this attention on USAID has really highlighted all the amazing work it does!
I bet it’ll get even stronger in the next administration.
Haters really do the best marketing!
Awful: Delivery of life saving treatment to nearly 400,000 severely malnourished kids abroad is in doubt amid USAID firings, the product's manufacturers tell me.

Here are 50+ quotes and 800+ words of commentary from me on Episode 1!
America dot gov is truly the customer service experience from hell.
It won't answer any questions about this government.
It can't file anything for you.
It sends you to government services that don't work.
Why is there such a Silicon Valley campaign to promote it?

I wish DOGE had been Silicon Valley style building.
Instead, we got Private Equity style cuts + debt.
DOGE embodied Silicon Valley startup logic: young tech workers with no government experience making rapid decisions about complex policy programmes. The predictable chaos—from disrupting nuclear security to grounding air traffic—shows what happens when "move fast and break things" meets state capacity.

The front doors into the most exclusive industries are hidden.
The brilliance of @ycombinator is that it built a front door that is easy to find (YC) in front of a front door that is hard to find (VC).
