Another day and another disaster on trains. 4 carriages on 17.53 Connolly to Drogheda - overcrowded and heat blasting - well done yet AGAIN @IrishRail - please turn OFF heat
3am alarm call for a quick road trip to Mullingar this morning.
As I left Laytown, a beautiful waning crescent 🌙 hung low over the sea.
The target species was the kingfisher, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Leap of faith.
Leaping up to 2 metres between branches, using their bushy tails for balance and sharp claws for grip — red squirrels are tiny athletes and pretty much fearless. 🐿️🔥
Such speed, such agility, such attitude.

I’ve photographed this beautiful male fox for nearly 5 years now. In that time, he’s raised many cubs. This year, he stands alone in the golden morning light — his partner sadly gone. One of his cubs now walks the territory with him.
