What I’m most embarrassed about this situation is that I shared with so many of my international artist friend how great EVO France was last year and now they are here….we are totally seperated from the rest of the event 😭
Very disappointed with how @Evo_France handled Artist Alley. We were placed on the second floor, completely disconnected from the main event crowd. After spending over €900 on booth fees, plus flights and hotels, we only learned about this setup ONE DAY before the event.

There is a cultural FGC difference here cause I was expecting something super difficult and saw the most baseline Ryu combo in SF4 and realized that execution requirements are extremely toned down in recent combos. Even more so than I thought.

don't like how men are calling that dressmaker game girlslop. it reminds me of the massive amount of men who made commentary vids on the infinity nikki situation back then. like infold 100% fumbled but it only got so much traction bc ppl love to mock women's interests

that would be because a chicken has an infinitely more complex thinking apparatus than a body of text. a chicken cannot verbally respond, but it can feel pain, sadness, and happiness. a LLM can simulate these things via reproducing probabalistic chains of words. hope that helps!

Noticed she put that cover over her drink right away!!
Take the hint and leave her alone! She shouldn’t have to scream for you to respect her boundaries. 😒😡
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is a scripted promotional ad for the Nightcap drink cover product, uploaded by the company's official channel, not real unscripted footage.

There have been many posts about women not playing Yu-Gi-Oh! and it reminded me of some interactions that I had:
When I told a new friend that I made here in Japan that I like to play card games, she said that whenever she walks by the card shop close to her place, there are only ever guys and never any girls, so she avoids that place and assumes many other girls think the same, So she was surprised to find out I like playing Yu-Gi-Oh!
Many years ago I used to play competitive Pokemon VGC and I played in this tournament and got to the finals. While most people were pretty cool, there were some random guys I have never seen or talked to before just asking for my phone number out of nowhere. My opponent in the finals said and I will never forget this "Losing to a girl would be embarrassing". He lost :3
The reason women don't play Yu-Gi-Oh! is not because it is "too complicated" for them. Sure there are people who don't like the game because of it's complexity, but that is true for both genders. A lot of women simply don't feel safe in an environment with mostly (or only) men. Especially when the community does not have the best reputation and they either have made bad experiences themselves or have heard of other women having bad experiences with the community.
That being said, I have had a lot of great interactions within the Yu-Gi-Oh! community, there are many cool people here and I'm happy to be a part of it! So let's not have some idiots ruin this space! Everyone who wants to and is willing to learn can play this game!
