I am building literally nothing, because the AI Pro sub that came with my $1199 Pixel 10 Pro XL purchase is apparently not a "paid plan"

crazy gadgetbahn idea: an express train that never stops and a local train that speeds up to "dock" with it and take out passengers to the next station

wait this graph is crazy
BART installed anti-fare-hopping gates and the amount of station maintenance and cleanup they had to do went to basically zero
strong evidence that the poor condition of public transit is fairly easy to fix + caused by a very small group of people

And there are other real benefits such as fewer corrective maintenance requests and time spent cleaning and fixing things.

the Ferry Building is extremely dangerous. you walk in and next thing you know you've dropped $100 on various flavored olive oils. whatever you do do NOT stare directly into the Heath Ceramics

Bay Area native here. The SB is in Santa Clara not SF.
Here’s the truth-depends where you go. Market Street, Ferry Building, Tenderloin, Hunters Point are off limits. Do not walk around at night anywhere. Do not leave anything in a car. Don’t take any public transportation. Walk with someone. And you’ll be OK.

I hate to shit on San Francisco
But clearly they already let their own residents do this directly in the street.
Outside of my hotel and all over this entire neighborhood are scores of people sleeping in the street, clearly drug users and mentally ill
SF leaders. Someday you will have to clean up your own shit. This isn’t how functional societies operate
I have come here my entire life. I came here often as a child and I love the city. I still do. But surely this can’t be the right way to operate a city
I know this exists in parts of any urban environment but there is nowhere quite like this where it is so intwined with the important parts of the business community. And at such enormous scale.
Such an eyesore. And stain on this beautiful & creative city. Such a safety concern.

Muni is absolutely critical to our city’s recovery. It is the backbone of our transit system and a major driver of our economy. Under my administration, it’s a new day at SFMTA, with leadership that is delivering efficient Muni service and making the tough decisions necessary to put the system on the path to long-term stability.
As we do that work, this crucial state funding will prevent major service cuts that would have been a major setback for our recovery—instead providing a bridge so SFMTA can do the work to stabilize Muni financially while helping San Franciscans and visitors get to work, school, and home.
Thank you to @CAgovernor, @Scott_Wiener, @JesseArreguin, @AsmMarkGonzalez, and all of our partners at the state level, as well as SPUR and the organizations and people across our city who worked closely with us to deliver this critical funding.

apparently i have an unpopular opinion that caltrain shouldn’t run 2 minutes ahead of the published schedule. Like isnt rule 1 of transit that you never leave early from a timepoint like what
