NeuroSolve hosted a scientific seminar in Zambia on Taenia solium #neurocysticercosis, led by Prof. Hugo Garcia. From epidemiology to treatment, the session highlighted key challenges and the need for better diagnosis & care in endemic regions. #NeuroSolve #NTDs #EDCTP

New publication from the NeuroSolve (EDCTP-funded) project. A review in PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases summarises recent advances in diagnosis, treatment, and control of NCC, a major cause of epilepsy worldwide. This is the second paper involving the project.

So great to see NeuroSolve PhD fellows to succeed! Dr Fredy Mlowe and Dr Antoni Nyerere presented some preliminary results of the NeuroSolve project at the #EDCTP Forum, held in Kigali from 15th to 20th June 2025. NeuroSolve is committed NCC disease in Sub-Saharan #Africa .

As neurocysticercosis is a leading cause of epilepsy globally, the Neurosolve Project team was invited to give three oral platform presentations and to realise one poster at the 5th African Epilepsy Congress, held from the 16th to 18th of May 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia

The Zambian NeuroSolve Principal Investigator, Evans K. Mwape, gave a presentation at the 2025 Veterinary Association of Zambia Annual Scientific Conference, highlighting the importance of a One Health approach, as in the NeuroSolve project, to control tapeworm.
