LA County has a population of close to 10 million - which is greater than 10 individual US states. LAUSD has more than 700 schools and nearly a 1/2 million students - 90% minority enrollment. There are only 8 ATs currently employed in the entire district. 😞

There are only 8 certified athletic trainers in LAUSD, including Venice High School. Last August, their presence likely meant the difference between life and death for one football player. @chrishayre has more on that night, and what it could change. 5:45/10:45 @kcalnews
