After waiting all day for an amendment, we are now told by the Republicans that the AEA bill will come up for a final vote in the House at 6:30. Democrats have little time to read the amendment, and even less to debate it, and of course the public is being totally shut out. – at Des Moines, IA

With the Iowa House starting up their bill again, now is a good time to contact your legislators. Losing AEAs will hurt many schools in ways well beyond just special education. This does not help schools.
