You don’t short a company when a CEO comes out like this and buried in the last sentence of the press release is a government acronym that says the US government is also done waiting and is going to push this company through $ASTS They’re about five people in the world that has spent as much time as I have studying each intricate detail of this company and I know exactly what this fucking means
We are done waiting. We are on to satellite 51 - the largest spacecrafts ever in LEO! and we are not stopping. Blacklift: built for BlueBird, built to fly!. Join me at the unveiling webcast event on Thursday, November 12 investors.ast-science.com/ 🤠🇺🇸

$ASTS Launch crunch applies to those with the lowest priority. AST today revealed not only that they already have contract to put 100 satellites on orbit but that they have priority rights to any launch slots short of government acquired spysat rockets/ NSSL. markets.ft.com/data/announce…

More likely than not, 1 sentence buried in a complex press release on a Friday after the market collapsed was not appreciated or recognized by most investors. My belief is that this is one of the more consequential disclosures by the Company, ranking nearly in importance behind, "it works." This means $ASTS is now (potentially) protected by the U.S. Government. If you are short, you recognize what this means and you ask yourself, "should I be?" If you debating whether to be long, you ask yourself, "did I recognize this company's strategic importance or was my judgement clouded by the volatility?" $ASTS
DPAS gives US national defense orders (DO/DX rated) legal priority over unrated commercial work across the supply chain. For ASTS, this means government dual-use satellite missions can secure preferential launch slots from US providers. Providers must accept capable rated orders, schedule them first, and flow the rating downstream. Willful refusal or deprioritization risks DOC enforcement, injunctions, fines, or criminal penalties under the Defense Production Act. Compliance also protects providers from liability to displaced commercial customers.

$ASTS I think some people may be jumping to the wrong conclusion about today’s Blacklift announcement. Yes, AST has acknowledged the importance of having greater control over launch capacity. But that doesn’t mean they’re giving up on commercial launch providers or that they’ve exhausted their options. In fact, the announcement explicitly confirms that AST will CONTINUE using external launch providers, with existing agreements covering more than 100 BlueBird satellites scheduled for deployment during 2027–2028. Blacklift is a longer-term addition to that strategy, with operations targeted to begin in late 2028. I see another potentially much bigger strategic consideration here ✨The government and sovereign infrastructure opportunity. We’re entering an era where governments are recognizing the importance of having secure, independent communications infrastructure. National security, defense, emergency communications, and sovereign control over critical networks are becoming increasingly important. Even dire. And just think what’s happening with Starshield in Ukraine. Recent service restrictions affecting Ukrainian military operations have shown potential vulnerabilities of relying on commercially controlled satellite infrastructure, especially during geopolitical conflicts. That doesn’t mean governments are abandoning SpaceX (yet) but it definitely reinforces the value of having alternatives and greater control. Let’s all try to remember that AST specifically identified government radar, secure government communications, IoT, federal emergency services, AI edge computing, and additional funded networks as opportunities that Blacklift could help address. ✨ This is potentially about much more than getting BlueBirds into orbit. ✨ And don’t forget, Amazon didn’t abandon outside launch providers when developing its own constellation. It intentionally diversified its launch arrangements to reduce scheduling risk and to maintain flexibility. Multiple deployment pathways are a strategic advantage. Not a contradiction or cause to panic. Critical thinning, a cool head, and removal of emotion over SP are key here. I also think we should recognize what vertical integration could mean for AST’s long-term economics. A reusable rocket capable of deploying up to five BlueBirds per launch, with control over its own manufacturing and launch schedule, could fundamentally change the economics and scalability of the business. Of course, Blacklift is a substantial investment, and there are real execution, financing considerations. We shouldn’t dismiss those. But I don’t think this announcement should automatically be interpreted as a sign of desperation or a lack of launch options. I see a company potentially positioning itself to control more of its infrastructure, expand its addressable market, serve additional government customers, and reduce its dependence on an increasingly constrained launch industry. And also important ✨ AST isn’t waiting until 2028 to deploy satellites. The existing external launch strategy continues. ✨ Let’s hear management explain the bigger picture on Monday’s earnings call before we assume the worst. Think bigger than the rocket. Think about the infrastructure AST is positioning itself to own.

$FLY 🤝 $ASTS Two bold Texas companies, Firefly and @AST_SpaceMobile, signed a deal valued at more than $1.3 billion. Firefly will deliver 36 rocket engines, offer engineering support, and provide a license to manufacture our Miranda and Vira engines for AST SpaceMobile's new heavy-lift rocket. This is a tremendous win-win for both companies: AST SpaceMobile will be able to launch their own satellites, while Firefly will rapidly scale testing and production of our existing launch vehicle lineup. fireflyspace.com/news/firefl…

Great to hear from @AST_SpaceMobile at B6GS and its commitment to MNOs for D2C satellite connectivity. I've also learned today that AST's architecture is designed to preserve data sovereignty and is also optimized to utilize low band spectrum to maximize reach with some limited capability for indoor coverage. One of the early criticisms of the company was the massive size of its satellites relative to others. However, as AI workloads grow, they will require significant uplink improvement. Physics dictate that a satellite's size matters on this point, and the company is well positioned to deliver needed bandwidth well into the future as its constellation grows. 🚀🛰️
