🎖️ Five Years Strong! 🎖️
MCS has been named a Purple Star District for the fifth consecutive year!💜⭐
We’re honored to receive this recognition, which highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. Principals Dr. Bennett and Mrs. Coe, along with Superintendent Dr. Locklair, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the district.
From helping families transition in and out of our schools to offering support and guidance during deployments, we are here to serve those who serve us. Thank you to our military families for your sacrifice, resilience, and dedication. We’re proud to provide your children with the best public education choices in North Carolina!

It was awesome to celebrate @NewCenturyMS principal Kim Coe as she graduated from the @NCPrincipals Distinguished Leadership in Practice program today. Leadership Matters and @MooreSchools is fortunate to have Principal Coe!
New Century Middle School has been named a "School to Watch" by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform through the NC Schools to Watch program and The NC Association for Middle-Level Education (NCMLE), joining an elite group of middle schools nationwide recognized.
A heartfelt thank you to our entire school community for coming together to honor our veterans with such a beautiful breakfast and moving tribute program.
A special thank you to Mrs. Degreave, whose powerful and inspiring words resonated with us. ❤️💙
Please congratulate these three young artists on being selected as this month’s “Artists of the Month”. Projects were voted on by the Advanced Art Flex class and works will be on display outside of the art room!
