If you're a sports fan, I sincerely hope you have the opportunity to have an athlete matter as much to you as Damian Lillard matters to Rip City.

If you’re leaving the house today and got the scratch to spare, support your local restaurants. An ice storm in the middle of the already slow season is crushing our industry. Restaurants aren’t gonna make it to the other side of this thing without your support. Retweet plz 🙏💋

At least 11 dead so far linked to this storm, and massive damage in Lane County has left Cottage Grove in the dark for days. Pacific Power says they are hoping to get lines there operational by Thursday. opb.org/article/2024/01/17/o…
Power is still out in cottage Grove, people will probably start dying soon. 3 days in ice with no power is a motherfucker

Hot water heater broke and we might need a new one, there’s a new hole in the floor of our PDR, but it’s glitzy day for staff meal. January can be a slow time for restaurants on top of snowpacalypse scares, so go support your favorite places.

We’re proud to have started a cooperation with Ocalenie Foundation last year! We turned one of our spaces on our Warsaw campus into a dedicated language center offering free Polish courses to refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants coming to Poland from outside of Europe.
Here are some quick stats from the first course:
🌍 966 people from 76 countries applied
🎓 548 people took part in the course
👨🏫 73 volunteers taught the students
🕙 1396 hours of classroom instruction were completed
Knowing the language of the country you live in helps the process of integration and makes everyday life easier. The students indicated that their top reasons for learning Polish were to better understand the country’s culture and society, deal with official matters, and find a better job. That’s why we believe in supporting language learning, to ensure everyone who comes to Poland can feel more and more comfortable with each passing day.
Follow the Foundation’s website — enrollment for the next course starts soon, so stay tuned!
