A wonderful summary of some of the work we’ve done to develop therapeutics for T2 Diabetes and IBD over the last 5 years! Shoutouts to the workhorse chem grad students from our lab on the project, @Bluurox, Jeff Cornelison, and more recently @LyssaMoranda and Racheal Spurlin!

Today was the last lecture of my 1st semester teaching orgo II! # lectures: 24 in class and 13 zoom. # students: 150 or 530 depending on how and when you count. # hours prepping for transition online: thankfully not counted. This survey: priceless. :) Happy LDOC @UNC!

It can be awkward and scary to initiate that conversation, send that first email. But, it is 1000x better to have those nerves than to make an uninformed decision. Research is great, but as #chemtwitter is quick to note: PI and group dynamics matter.

As graduate school visits are made virtual, I want to encourage any prospective students to reach out to current members of groups you're interested in. We are always open to talking outside of formal visit weekends, and doubly so during this chaotic time.
