AI for the trades, not just the Fortune 500. I build AI agents that handle office work for HVAC, electrical, plumbing & roofing shops. Don't get left behind.

fieldtwin is an npm package now. No second checkout in CI. npx fieldtwin starts the twin. npx fieldtwin mcp adds its MCP server for coding agents. In tests, startTwin() gives each worker its own twin on a free port with its own world. Parallel tests stop sharing state.

SAAS, OWNERSHIP & CONFIDENTIALITY You build a feature for one client. Months later, another client asks for something similar. Do you reuse it? Offer it as a paid feature? Make it part of the core product? In SaaS development, the line between client-specific work and reusable intellectual property isn't always clear. This goes beyond code. → Who owns the custom-developed functionality? → What can be reused without exposing confidential business information? → How do contractual obligations influence architectural decisions? These boundaries shouldn't be defined after a conflict arises. They should be addressed when designing the product and negotiating the contract. How do you handle the boundary between client-specific development and reusable SaaS functionality? 🤔🔐

Python 3.12 added itertools.batched: it splits any iterable into tuples of n, and the last one holds whatever's left. It's handy for API calls with a batch limit or for bulk DB inserts. You don't need a hand-rolled slicing helper anymore.

A prototype uses shared credentials and broad permissions to speed up development. Now the client wants to move it into production, but roles, secrets management, and access controls are still not properly defined. What would you prioritize before going live? 🤔

B) 5 3 The array has a hole, not an undefined value. forEach skips holes (2 calls), but for...of uses the iterator, which visits every index and gives undefined (3 loops). length is still 3.
What does this print? A) 6 3 B) 5 3 C) 4 3 D) 4 2

Owners and builders: what's one job you'd never let an AI agent do without a person signing off first? Curious where other people draw that line.

for side projects: postgres, one cron job, one cheap VPS. boring stack ships, and you can actually keep it all in your head. fancy infra mostly solves problems you don't have yet

Stop hand-writing join(', ') with an "and" bolted onto the end. Intl.ListFormat handles commas, "and" and "or" for you, and it follows the locale: pass 'de' and you get "und". It's built into JS, no library needed. Good for UI copy and notifications.

These are the outputs: console.log(and.format(['Ana', 'Ben', 'Cy'])); // "Ana, Ben, and Cy" console.log(or.format(['npm', 'pnpm'])); // "npm or pnpm"

you don't need a separate decision model for this. here's my grok bot prompt, copy it: every morning, scan my X lists + niche search. keep posts under 2h old, climbing fast in the first 30 min, under 15 quotes. skip anything past 50 or anything i already quoted. send me the top 3 with one opinionated angle each. never post. i write the take. 24h after each quote, log views next to why it was picked. every sunday tell me which signals predicted the winners.

B2B SAAS | THE PILOT WORKS. THE DEAL STALLS. A company runs a successful pilot of your SaaS. The team likes the product, and the results look promising. Three months later, there's still no contract. IT wants a security review. Finance questions the ROI. The team using the product wants to move forward, but doesn't control the budget. Who do you engage first: IT, Finance, or the champion? 🤔

Testing an AI agent against a real customer's QuickBooks is a great way to lose a customer. So I built fieldtwin: Jobber + QuickBooks Online running locally, with a fake business you can break as much as you want. It's live on Product Hunt. Support and feedback would mean a lot 🙏 producthunt.com/products/fie…

More common, I'd bet, since in AI the product's limits are model and infra limits, and the guy who knows why resets happen is the one who can plan around them.

Java has a weird little trap. Most people miss it on the first try : Integer a = 127, b = 127; Integer x = 128, y = 128; System.out.println(a == b); System.out.println(x == y); Both comparisons look identical. Do they print the same result?
