No one could reach anyone on the phone. I barely got 30 seconds in with my mom. My dad, who worked in New Jersey, had to sleep in his office for 2 nights since they closed the bridges & tunnels to NYC.

Dolly Parton sat in front of my family at the first Broadway show I went to when I was 8. She gave everyone an autograph at intermission and couldn’t be sweeter about it. The intermission was delayed by 15 minutes because of it. Heaven gained a kind soul.
