I can no longer remain silent about this. There are projects operating under the banner of humanitarian work that, unfortunately, are misleading people and exploiting the language of humanitarian aid. I'm not talking about major, well established projects. I'm talking about certain projects that suddenly appear, attract donors, gain public attention, and claim to be making a difference. But what are they actually delivering? A few photographs of bread bundles being distributed. For context, a single bundle of bread here costs around $1. Sometimes, a water truck is brought in, even though international organizations already provide regular water distribution across most areas. Meanwhile, what is happening today? Families are drowning inside their tents. People are facing another winter without proper shelter, without even a decent tent or a waterproof covering to protect them from the rain. Where are the priorities? Where is the actual humanitarian impact? Humanitarian work is not about taking photographs, creating publicity, collecting donations, or building a personal image around other people's suffering. It is about understanding people's real needs, identifying priorities, and delivering meaningful, sustainable assistance. If someone does not understand the very essence of humanitarian work, they should not be given a platform to represent it, let alone be allowed to exploit people's suffering in its name. Humanitarian work is a responsibility, not a performance. And this is absolutely, absolutely unacceptable.
