The UK government should not be making decisions on tax that have a detrimental effect on Gibraltar or any of the British Overseas Territories. An increase in the UK's tax on gaming will have a huge impact on the finances of Gibraltar and @hmtreasury should examine the implications on this small, but intensely loyal territory of the Crown, before making any decisions. Thank you to Finance Minister, The Hon. Nigel Feetham MP @NigelMFeetham for making such a powerful argument to parliamentarians in London this week. 🇬🇧🇬🇮

Among other things, I told GBC yesterday that if the sex offenders’ wing reaches capacity, I would seriously consider transferring the most serious offenders to a foreign prison and that it certainly won’t be a five-star hotel like Gibraltar Prison.
There must be deterrence.
Back from the Lib Dems Conference with my Ministerial colleagues Joseph and Gemma last night, and this morning I welcomed the MONEYVAL Secretariat to Gibraltar ahead of our forthcoming evaluation.
