My grand finale. An image I've dreamed of capturing ever since being a young boy in the 1960s. The iconic Horsehead Nebula. Taken 4 months since buying the SeestarS50 for the time, location and seeing conditions to be right.
Very happy with this. 😊🎉🔭

Morning. Happy Monday. Today my eldest daughter gets married and will be off my hands, finally 😉. Looking forward to a bit of Dad dancing at the reception later. I've already told her I want a cask of something 4.5-5.5%ABV, brown and malty behind the bar🍺😁
Have a good day 🙂
More thoughts on Spoons here. Quite an exchange going on in the replies 🙂
I have spent an inordinate amount of time in various Spoons this weekend owing to the awful weather and our awful public transport system. So while I wait for my Korean friend chicken burger here’s some of the under explored reasons why Spoons is so great:
1. They have real Heinz ketchup (ditto Heinz mustard, HP sauce etc). This is impressive when most food trucks and even restaurants etc now use cheaper supermarket-brand versions as Heinz has become so pricey
2. The southern fried chicken strips are better than the chicken selects in McDonald’s (and that’s a high bar)
3. The staff are nice (I’ve always found)
4. The spice bag is elite
5. There’s something for everyone - even Aperol Spritz! (£4.75)
6. The free re-fills on the coffee
7. Often they’re in great heritage buildings
8. The explicit invite on the pump to try before you choose. This is great
Many more but my burger has now arrived
Still quite windy here and there's a thin veil of cloud about but thought I'd get a shot of the nearly full Hunter's Moon. I then swung to the right to see if Saturn was still there 😉. The Seestar isn't really geared up for planets but the shape is clear enough 🙂🔭🌕🪐

Beer O'Clock. Just back home. Lovely trip up to Bury St Edmunds and a very enjoyable brunch with our friends at Blackthorpe Barn and a look round their Christmas shop. Classic lunchtime #beers for me today. Cheers 🍻
#Hop terroir is well recognised and has been for many years. Somewhere in all my files I have 6 profiles of Cascade grown round the world.
Hop terroir isn't hop-aganda 🌿 Nectaron and Superdelic hops from 8 farms in NZ's Tasman region had distinct volatile fingerprints, and panelists described the same cultivar differently by farm. "Citrus" topped both. Open access:

I decided it was sort of unfair to only have a book launch in Oslo, when most readers cannot get there. So Sunday a week from now I will do an online book launch, on both Youtube and Facebook. I hope to see you there!

Morning. Well the Terrible Trio 🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛ woke up at their usual time of 3.30am, as expected, but settled down again quickly. Very blustery night and a bright Moon. Heading to Bury St Edmunds for 10am brunch and catch up with some old Glemsford friends. Have a good day 🙂
Finishing this short but enjoyable Saturday Session of Yorkshire #beers at The Orange Tree with a half each of Rooster's 4.2%ABV Scoundrel Stout and Brass Castle's 8.5% Wallop. Both very good. Looking forward to the Dark Beer Festival here next month
Cheers 🍻
Beer O'Clock. The Saturday Session at The Orange Tree starts with Daleside's excellent ESB. Good to come into a pub with a real fire on a chilly wet day. A plate of hot pork scratchings with apple sauce is a real bonus 😋
Cheers 🍻

Morning 🌄 The weekend starts and another wet day forecast 🙁. However, I shall brave the weather once more and head into Chelmsford. Looking forward to a visit to The Orange Tree for a few Yorkshire #beers and a couple of the snacks off the board 😋. Have a good day 🙂

Well the Terrible Trio are calling it a day. They're not happy in the wind and rain these days. Sid on the armchair, Bob on the heated mate and Miss Lulu Furball tucked under the piano.🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛

Tomorrow's #beer plans are sorted. The Orange Tree in Chelmsford is having a Yorkshire beer tap take over. I'll be there at midday 🙂🍻
Back home and slipped my pinny on to take on the role of Head Cook. Very enjoyable lunchtime session with some excellent #beers. Couple of small steaks and a decent bottle of red, courtesy of my Dad. Life's good 😋🍷🍷
