Just a reminder to be aware that EVERYONE is going through a lot of stuff. And that's all you have to do, is be aware.
I just called Paypal for an issue, and the CSA had started sounding like they were going to get emotional. I slowed down, and softly asked what was up, and assured them, that I have time and its okay to step outside of 'work' for a moment if they wanted to talk. They opened up and said that today was one of those SAD anniversary's and that they're having a hard time dealing with it. I just listened, and let them know that I was there to listen. They were super appreciative of it, and I'm just glad they had someone to open up to.
We've all been in that situation where we want to explain a lot to someone in the heat of the moment, but have nobody. Its not a great feeling.
Sometimes its hard for us to open up softly and really explain how we feel, but its important that we give people the time and the heart to do it.
Just stay aware my dudes <3

I have a friend in Orlando that works for Disney. She said she can’t leave until the park closes and they won’t close until the hurricane is there. It might be too late by the time they close for her to get out.
Disney needs to do better. Employers need to do better.

I want to make something EXTREMELY clear:
Toss out the "what category will it be at landfall?" right now. Throw it out. Why?
Categories are for WIND not SURGE.
You want a category that you can relate to? Assume the surge will inflict catastrophic damage; AKA CAT 5 damage.
Do not wait and see if it weakens below some threshold that makes you more comfortable. The storm surge will be unlike anything Floridians have ever seen.
And....it will be at night.
Category: NIGHTMARE.

ALERT - Hearing from a reliable source that Florida residents on the Gulf Coast who are evacuating to the North on I-75 are finding NO FUEL. Nearly all gas stations wiped out. Vehicles will soon be stalled on the interstate, blocking evacuations. Already bumper-to-bumper traffic heading North. All this, while the storm is strangely intensifying beyond any normal weather patterns. This is shaping up to be catastrophic. If you are evacuating by vehicle, you may want to bring extra fuel with you in a safe manner.
