Quite so!
The correct framing is that burgeoning male writers are not receiving investment - particularly in the literary genre. It is not suppression. It is neglect. Male writers just go Indy. The complaints that 'men don't read' by the Lithub Handwringers, should be understood to actually mean, 'men don't read contemporary authors we think they should read.' Solving the impasse without changing the investment structure would require a concerted effort of male writers to embrace the monoculture and become self-hating woke stenographers, or for men to stop rereading classics and put down the video games and read books that were not written for them, by them, or about them.

Roddy Piper defeated Hollywood Hogan in a Steel Cage Match.
A fan scales the cage after the main event and gets repeatedly punched by Hogan and Randy Savage.

Scientists have identified the specific male dance movements that women find most attractive
Researchers from Northumbria University mapped out the exact body mechanics that signal health, vigor, and reproductive quality to female observers.
"But men just don't read!"
Yeah, we don't read female slop written by weird women.
"Today, the Big Five publishers are staffed almost entirely by women. According to the most recent data, more than 70 percent of staffers are women. More than 70 percent of editors are women. Even 70 percent of all interns are women. At the executive level, more than 60 percent of leaders are women. In 2026, American publishing looks like lululemon."

More unsolicited advice from a 47-year old guy who’s been happily married for a long time to the woman he met in 2002.
My young brothers…you gotta see the red flags and stay far away from self-absorbed lunatics no matter how good they might look. It is better to be a solitary dude for a long time than to get involved with an insane woman. 😄
If you feel you must talk to them, then you should call them out on their bull without any hesitation. They will either hate your guts and leave (score!), or, oddly enough, become strongly attracted to you because deep down they want someone to put them in their place.
Regardless, I do not suggest getting romantically involved with them under any circumstances.
Wait for a good woman. A humble woman. Who you marry is one of the most important decisions of your life. I’d say the top spot is reserved for making sure you’re trying to get right with God.
I could write a detailed response, but why though when a simple "lol" gets the job done?
Some view contemporary publishing as a conspiracy to keep male authors off shelves. The simpler explanation is that bookstores and publishers like money and they've fine-tuned their offerings to serve the readers that buy the most books.

It really comes down to quality.
Clayface is so obscure that not many even think to miss Batman, not knowing that there's a connection.
