Article published today around the sad case of Peter Marshall -who presented with excruciating abdominal pain and was diagnosed by a PA with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and suggested over-the-counter peppermint tablets. There is a reason why doctors undergo 5 years medical training and 5-10 yrs clinical training before they become GPs.
