More than 60 people were killed in attacks on Christians in Ethiopia’s Oromia region. Witnesses said five children were among the dead, and 20 homes were burned.
“They surrounded us from all four directions,” said a resident whose 75-year-old father was killed. A church official called the attacks a “massacre,” while many residents fled.
The Church warned of increasing attacks against Christians, saying repeated appeals to authorities had yielded “no solution.”
