The poor woman didn't know that this strange sound was the sound of her husband and 4 other people vaporizing in fractions of a second:
Wendy was aboard the support ship for the Titan submarine expedition, and her husband Stockton was piloting it, with 4 other people on board.
During her monitoring of the expedition, she heard a sudden booming sound and asked those present: What is this sound?
She didn't know that the sound she heard was the result of the catastrophic collapse of the submarine under water pressure, which claimed the lives of her husband and the other four in moments.
What happened is called implosion, an internal collapse due to the immense water pressure that crushed the submarine.
Most tragically, she continued monitoring the expedition, believing her husband was still alive.
For after hearing the booming sound, a message arrived from the submarine indicating that it had jettisoned two weights, leading the crew to believe it was still operational. But the message had been sent before the submarine's collapse and arrived late.
From the looks on the faces of the two men behind her, it seemed they knew what had happened but chose to remain silent.
Exhibited so much patience, understanding and knowledge … expertly done! Really impressive work 🎣 🦢👏🏻

Maybe let’s critique a player deciding to scissor challenge a player not facing them whilst going through the back of their Achilles and not disingenuously critique the 16 years old tame reaction to that.
Maybe let’s not condone those challenges.
Mikel Arteta on Max Dowman being ‘targeted’: “When we prepared the context of the match, we were very clear on the things to expect, the things that emotionally we have to dominate.”
🗣️ “What did you say when he went down the tunnel?”
Mikel Arteta: “Something we discussed before the game.”

Wouldn't want to take anything away from Fleetwood, so excellent in their second half rearguard. However I can't think of many Arsenal players who could complain if they were dropped for the next dozen games after their performance tonight.

To sit there and go with a scissor tackle when the player isn’t facing you + go through the back of your Achilles is a deliberate “I’m gonna leave one on you” purely for zero tactical advantage.
His ankle gets stuck in the ground and it’s broken.
Vile.

Arteta post Fleetwood
Personally I don't think he's being honest here. He's protecting the players.

As big a paddling as you'll ever see but low scoring sport so BANG.

I dunno man, I think referees should probably be sanctioning the dangerous, out of control tackle as much -- if not more -- than they should the petulant but unimpactful swing out in response.
