It’s a dumb question, because many of them are not. Like most products, they come in many different shapes and sizes for many different reasons. There is no one single reason why all manhole covers are round, and they’re not all round.
Replying to @jrobah @ArktikUtka
Can you see why that might not be a problem.

That answer is 100% wrong, though. Square manhole covers do exist and they don’t usually have that problem for several reasons, including the fact that the hole underneath them is typically still round.

This is why parts come with handling instructions. Follow them.

He is wrong because he is claiming that a loaded shotgun can be intimidating. He is replying to someone who correctly claimed that a shotgun has to be empty to be intimidating.
His broader point was that it can still be loaded if you want. It doesn’t have to be empty to make noise.

Microsoft Word should have died 30 years ago now. At no point did anyone start using it because it was the best software. You can’t kill what isn’t alive.

Is reposting a bot evidence that you’re a bot?

As a CircuitHub customer for nearly a decade now, I have been wondering how they are so fast and economical.
Should labeling capture intent or chemistry? We got into the whole BPA mess by only requiring that the label tell you about the parts that are intended to be edible.

Bold of you to assume that we’re not.
US federal code defines preservatives as any preservative except “common salt, sugars, vinegars, spices, or oils extracted from spices, substances added to food by direct exposure thereof to wood smoke, or chemicals applied for their insecticidal or herbicidal properties”.
The bad logic is in the federal code, which requires salt to not be labeled as a preservative, even though it is a preservative. Just because they require you to lie doesn’t mean you’re telling the truth.
Salt is the preservative. You can’t say that it has no preservatives because one of the two ingredients is the preservative. Salt is the most common preservative there is. When people say “it has too many preservatives”, that typically means that it has too much salt.
Salt is a preservative. You can’t say “no preservatives” when one of your two ingredients is the most common preservative on earth.

I normally just scroll down until I find a comment with the correct answer and try to boost it, but in this case there aren’t any. Everyone is wrong. How can y’all not be smart enough to google this. Git history can be rewritten, but you need to do it on every clone that has .env
