Three years of war. Three years of Russian brutality. Three years of Ukrainian courage.
🇷🇺 must be held accountable for its violations of IL, IHL, IHRL, and our common #OSCE principles. And peace must come on Ukraine's terms.

No human rights defender should face intimidation for engaging with @OSCE. ODIHR regrets comments targeting Georgian civil society representatives for their participation at the 2026 Warsaw Human Dimension Conference. HRDs must be able to speak freely without fear of retaliation.

I am appalled by reports from Kramatorsk, where at least 30 people were killed when a Russian bomb struck public buses. This follows deadly Russian attacks on homes in Kyiv and Pryluky, with children among those killed. Attacks on civilians are unacceptable. We @StandWithUkraine.

«The backdrop of this conference remains Russia’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, which continues to erode security in our region and globally.»

Leaving Belarus does not mean escaping the regime’s persecution. It can still threaten your parents, confiscate your home, cancel your passport and sentence you to years in prison in absentia.
Today I spoke at the event "Transnational Repression in the OSCE Region, held as part of the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference of the OSCE. In my keynote, I called for stronger protection for Belarusians, both at home and in exile.
Governments must provide secure legal status and travel documents for those who cannot safely return. No journalist, activist or former political prisoner should be left without papers because Lukashenka refuses to renew a passport.
People expelled from Belarus after their release must have their rights restored and be free to decide where to live.
Extradition requests from the regime need close scrutiny. International police cooperation must never become a tool for sending people back to persecution.
This year, teams from our democratic forces and partners have helped prevent the extradition or forced return to Belarus of at least 15 people.
We also need to protect journalists in exile from hacking, threats and intimidation. Their safety matters to everyone inside Belarus who depends on independent information.
I want to thank 🇪🇪 Ambassador @silverkungas1 and all the Nordic and Baltic countries and @osce_odihr for bringing us together, and Poland and Lithuania for helping Belarusians find safety.
I am grateful to the countries supporting the International Humanitarian Fund, which has raised over €3.3 million to help people recover from repression and rebuild their lives.
The regime must stop new political arrests and the persecution of families. Those responsible for repression across borders must be held accountable.
Protecting Belarusians and our independent civil society is an investment in Europe’s security.

We called on #Russia to stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations.
Ukraine agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire in March 2025. 51 UN member states call on Russia to finally do the same.
They have issued a joint statement in support of Ukraine.
"We stand in solidarity with Ukraine as it continues to face Russia’s war of aggression," the statement says.
The partner countries called for protecting freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, commercial shipping and critical infrastructure, and safeguarding Ukrainian grain exports and global food security. They also called on Russia to immediately return all arbitrarily detained, forcibly transferred or deported Ukrainian civilians, including children, as well as all prisoners of war and internees.
"Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law," they stressed.
We thank all partner countries for their strong support and solidarity with Ukraine.
