🧵My favorite things to schizopost about are the Kohlberg stages of moral development - a well-studied framework for how humans make moral decisions - and Mos Maiorum - the unwritten norms that allowed the Roman Republic to be self-governing. It occurs to me they are related!

The 13% drop is entirely accounted for by the 13% of women no longer pretending to be bisexual.
The share of teenage girls who identify as lesbian or bisexual has dropped sharply in just four years, per CDC data highlighted by The Washington Post. Among ninth-grade girls: Lesbian or bisexual: 30% in 2021 → 17% Bisexual alone: 26% → 13%

I think ICE should deport her for looking like a scary monster
Woman claims she was approached by ICE and asked if she was an American citizen because she had such a dark tan. "Because I was so tan, they were about to handcuff me... and take me away, God knows where..." Patricia Krentcil said on the Light. Tan. Up. show. Area 51, maybe?

Many men cheat because women can often look quite similar and it can be hard to tell if the woman you’re having sex with is actually your girlfriend or someone simply pretending to be her.

We constantly get severely demented patients in the hospital where the family is in total denial. "Oh, they don't know what month it is because they're retired" "Saying he's at the bank? Oh, he's joking." People can suspend their disbelief in absurd ways.
This is also my own experience. Every time a dog has jumped on me, or nipped me, even drawn blood, it was in the wake of an owner telling me that their dog is well behaved. Dog owners will often insist that their dog is a good dog immediately *after* it has done something to demonstrate that it is poorly trained. At the hearing regarding the dog that recently attacked my son, the owner protested that his dogs are friendly and well-trained and, “you can ask anybody.” Presumably by “anybody,” he doesn’t include the people who were complaining to the city that they were attacked by his dog. Every single dog owner says that they have a good dog. They all think that they have a trained dog. They all think their dogs are well-behaved. They blurt out, “he’s friendly” as their dog bites somebody as if they have Tourette’s. Hearing this from a dog owner has absolutely zero value. So far as I can tell, what dog owners mean when they say that their dog is friendly and well trained is that they like their dog. It means nothing more than that.

A big part of the Obama presidency that’s kind of forgotten now was Obama saying the corniest shit imaginable and then a bunch of otherwise jaded liberals falling over themselves to say how “cool” he was

I genuinely do think there are a lot of basically good people who have never really thought about the ways in which they are behaving badly as dog owners, because nobody ever really calls them out for it. If your dog is ever off leash, you are being antisocial and behaving badly. If your dog ever jumps on somebody who didn’t specifically ask for that to happen, then you are behaving antisocially (even if the dog is just being “friendly”). If you have an invisible fence in your yard, but your dog comes running right up to the line at full speed only to stop at the last minute and bark at everybody who walks by, then you are behaving antisocially. Honestly, even behind a fence, this is an aggressive and annoying imposition on anybody walking by. If somebody has ever respond with fear or annoyance at something your dog has done and you’ve reflexively protested, “oh don’t worry, he won’t hurt you” or “he’s friendly” then that’s antisocial behavior. (You should just simply say, “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that, I won’t let it happen again” and then you should work to actually make it not happen again. Telling people not to worry, that you think your dog is just peachy, is bad behavior.) This is all bad behavior. It’s all antisocial. And I have these experiences with dogs and their owners routinely. This is all extremely common stuff.
The primary problem with widespread dog ownership and car culture is growing entitlement and anti-social behavior of owners People who just break rules and then feel as though YOU are a problem for caring because they “aren’t hurting anyone” and to “mind your own business” So they park in bike lines, refuse to pick up shit, let dogs off leash in places where it’s specifically prohibited.

Ok so I got this thing. Review Brah really liked it, but seemingly more because he grew up with it. I’ve never had this in my life. My parents were not poor and would not have allowed me to eat this. This is the Pizza Hut cheesy bites pizza, which boasts a crust ring of 28 stuffed crust bites, perfect for dipping. The deal I got, for $13.99, provided for one topping on the “pizza” part, so I got pepperoni. Pepperoni is like the lingua Franca of shitty fast food pizza, it’s that or nothing. Holy shit they stacked the pepperoni as if I needed every bite coated in pepperoni. A bit much. The cheesy bites were actually quite pleasant - like a garlic knot if you folded in some cheese chunks. Like a pig in the blanket if you added a little cheese instead of a little weiner. Review Brah called out the most immediate issue, which i 100% agree with. Issue is they’re selling you this super dippable item but it does not come with a single dip! Real moral hazard here. Knowing this, I got marinara and garlic sauce. The pizza component itself does not taste overly sweet but for some reason the marinara dipping sauce is insanely sweet. Idk what’s going on there. The garlic sauce I thought would be like the papa John’s classic, but it looks like white queso but might be a little better than papa John’s. Not as oily. The pizza part is super basic. It’s the kind of pizza if old and dried out would almost be sharp in terms of the edges and points. Kind of almost a leathery base. This is not really a problem when it’s fresh/warm. I would say the pizza part is on cici’s tier but still better and more satisfying. Is it great? No. Is it ok and remind you of a childhood that wasn’t actually your childhood? Kinda. This was overall worth the money and kind of fun. Pizza Hut seems to have out-teched the papa on garlic sau-tech. Bonus for that. Pizza Hut seems like it has good customer service because they’re honestly surprised you wanted to get Pizza Hut. I kind of love that. Hail America.
I just ordered one of these and going to go toe to toe with Review Brah on reviewing this Italian feast.

Dems love to post this chart showing Trump's approval failing off a cliff, but to 50+% was always BS. His favorable rating when he won the 2024 election in a blowout was only about 42%. Democrat favorability at that time: About 42%. Democrat favorability now: About 42%.

It really is fascinating how well Indian-Americans score on metrics that are self-reported (like household income) while doing much worse on metrics where the data is centrally collected.

Indian immigrant hate on the right (which I am) is so ridiculous. These are generally higher class people. When I was doing immigration law it was like Indian dudes making 400k a year running oil plants. These aren't British Indians (actually poor people from Bangladesh)
