Liatris punctata (var. mucronata?) macros from Mineral Wells State Park. You can very clearly see the glandular trichomes, the stringy styles, and the scaly bracts which define this plant. I love this sp. for the corollas myself. 10/20/26:

Quite the strong signature near Heber-Overgaard AZ, on KFSX. CC does point (while being a bit messy) to a tornado. SW peaked with a classic rotation signature and we will most likely hear from this population shortly. Not good! #azwx
