Can't belive it's finally live!!! Go check it out! The work of 4 years of ups and downs but learned so much in the process. Thanks so so much to @ibianco3 for the amazing mentorship. Oh, and check out the complementary story from the awesone @anti_paride bit.ly/2vY2vcB
What brain circuits keep an animal ‘on task’ so that it can accomplish a goal? Our paper bit.ly/2HuD9Z8 shows that the nucleus isthmi is required for zebrafish to sustain prey pursuit and capture their next meal. Congratulations to @NotHenriquez!

Come and see me speak about #motorcontrol at @SWC_Neuro. Should be a fun set of talks.
Replying to @SWC_Neuro
At 13:50 BST (UTC+1), we will hear the views of three brilliant PhD students - @CharlieDowell4, @maxowaxo2013 and @pguptasays - on some of the hard questions in neuroscience. Prizes will be at stake!

We are looking for an enthusiastic PhD student with computational background to work on social behaviour in zebrafish. Contact us! More on dreo-sci.com/ and zenith-etn.com/.
Looking for a postdoc doing innovative research with the most amazing and inspiring people? Look no further! I cannot overstate the amount of things I learned with @ibianco3 and the fun I had doing my PhD in his lab. A no-brainer if you ask me!
The zebrafishucl.org/bianco-lab is looking for postdocs! Enthusiasm essential. Skills in electrophysiology and custom optics design would also be great. Wellcome-funded. Probably starting early next year (but that's v flexible). Contact me if you're interested and please RT.

#CRISPR technology has huge potential, but the #crisprbabies claim from China stands to damage science, trust, and human life.
Whether or not this claim is true, international legislation is needed, URGENTLY.

These fish turn their eyes black to show that they're mad.
Their eyes are usually silver, but black is the default color. They’re constantly suppressing that darkness, and then releasing it when it’s time for a fight
