Absolutely floored by bus prices! My 2yo is obsessed with vehicles (diggers = the holy grail but a colourful bus will do) so we treated him and his baby brother to a bus ride from our village outside Swansea to the library, 2 miles away, to borrow yet another digger book. It's a journey we do regularly in 6 mins by car.

I used to think it was like elite sports You know someone who’s really good at a sport, incredible compared to you but they are still miles away from being a pro as the top levels are so high Used to think Oxbridge smart was elite but these clowns are just county sports level

If that metaphor is still holding, also suggests the rot started a long time before I previously thought. I used to think Oxbridge and older than me was pre standards dropping but now I’m not so sure. Lots of study hard deadweights went through the sausage machine back then too
