I traced all day at Kew the story of a manumitted & then wrongfully reenslaved Jamaican woman whose legal efforts from 1849 to 1852 to reclaim her freedom ended w her dying in a cholera epidemic before her case was resolved & I am just angry at what the ancestors had to go thru.
