When we find ourselves in abusive relationships, sadly as a defense we say to ourselves and our loved ones
" everything in my life is fine except my partner and I...but we will fix it".
This is a falsehood. Being abused affects every single facet of your life.

For every incident of trauma you memorise, this person may not even remember. So don't expect the sorry you think will make it all ok. It will never come.

We have a lot of abandoned babies at my hospital, as is the case in most hospitals. One of the major things we struggle with are clothes for these babies, so they are often naked with just nappies on and wrapped in hospital linen. Here's one of the babies.
