Not really. Just recall that going from Opus 4.7 to 5 is quite difficult to use, so they want to make money from Fable. It's only available to Max users at 50% of usage, hoping you'll pay via the API. Thanks to the competition, they finally delivered a fine Opus.

Why does Anthropic even make the Claude Fable models? Even if they launch Fable 5.2, the next Opus 5.6 is probably going to beat it on benchmarks and will cost 2x cheaper anyway. At this point every Fable release just feels like an expensive benchmark warm up for Opus.
