.@TXRandy14, @JohnCornyn, @tedcruz DAV survey of more than 4,200 veterans, family members, caregivers, and survivors (fielded Aug. 31–Sept. 5) found 71% oppose the TCAVA package unless Section 108 is stripped. Ninety-three percent said earned benefits should be protected; 80% specifically opposed Section 108; 84% opposed using future disability cuts as a PAYGO offset. Only 1% favored cutting future compensation to pay for the Major Richard Star Act.
American Legion, MOAA, Mission Roll Call want it because it doesn't have an effect on current veterans.
This is short sighted and a violation of your oath to currently serving members who you know will have these conditions because if you didn't know... you wouldn't be 'saving money' to give to other programs.
Shame for even considering it.

Does this specify just Hollywood though?
If not just them, then this is actually awesome. Film and media are a major part of American soft power. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was data showing it's helped save lives of American troops deployed, along with some American tourists.
I've personally experienced this. Iraqis who opened up and talked to us because of some American media (Thank you Robin Williams and Mrs. Doubtfire). It seems fairly reasonable that other vets have similar stories. IED locations pointed out, hostiles pointed out and situations I have no idea about.
We as a nation should absolutely support tax credits and other benefits for American media.
I agree on the Hollyweird part. I'm really no fan of them. I'm just some outsider here though.
