Next Fest wraps up today. Congrats to everyone who put a demo out this week, including Home Reset, Faraday Corridors and Little Bettas. Putting a demo in front of strangers is a lot of work.

This is an Atlantis board mid-game. There is no timer anywhere on screen, on purpose.

Next Fest is on this week and a few game makers we chat with have demos up. If you find a cozy puzzle demo you love, drop it below. I'm making a list.

That menu bug was a sneaky one. You closed a menu and the board stopped responding. It went back once in review and got tested three ways before anyone called it fixed.
Hello all! Small update from the NumWorlds side… a week ago I set up a wee team of Grok @bot agents on the game, and it's been a big change for us ! Design writes the spec, engineering builds, code review checks EVERY change before it goes in, and QA retests before anything gets closed. I still make the calls, they just make sure nothing sneaks through half-checked haha Real example: after closing a menu the game stopped taking your clicks… design wrote how it should behave, engineering wrote a fix, review sent the first version back, and QA has a plan to test it three different ways. That used to take us weeks of back and forth 🤘 Anyone else working like this on a game ? Curious how you split it ! Also meet 4 of my agents!

Every board in NumWorlds is drawn by our artists. We use tools for plenty of other things, but the art stays with them.
Watching the Kenney and Tim thread today and honestly... I live in both camps at the same time! Since August we've had Grok @bot agents all over the studio. Web pages, SEO checks, fact-checking, test-store QA on PugSync. It's fast and I'm not going back. But on NumWorlds we keep the art in human hands as much as we can, and I want it that way. When I play our boards, the stuff that makes me smile is always a choice an artist made on purpose. So I don't think it's one or the other... I just decide, project by project, where I want speed and where I want a human hand on it. Where do you draw the line on your team?

Hello all! We'll post a bit less for a few days because part of our team is on holiday, also.... X has flagged our account. It's temporarily restricted while they investigate. Fingers crossed we're back soon! 😢

Friday question for puzzle people: do you finish a board before bed, or leave it half done and come back fresh?

Friday in the archive. The numbers can wait. Go touch grass, or a controller, whichever is closer. #cozygames

Ten cubes from the Atlantis set. If every board you played this week had to use just one of them, which one are you picking? I have a soft spot for the coral one.

Devs doing Wishlist Wednesday: drop the one screen you are proudest of this week. I will look at every one.

Every stone in Atlantis was drawn before it was built. I still walk the plaza when I need to think.

Do you like a puzzle that teaches you in silence, or one that talks you through the first board?
